Peasant Osteria brings a warm, refined European dining experience to Mercure Ballarat, led by acclaimed chef Douglas Kerr and restaurateur Dan Tesoriero. Inspired by the traditional cooking of Calabria and Sicily, Peasant celebrates seasonal produce, honest technique and generous hospitality in a relaxed, old-world setting.
Dinner: 7 nights from 5:30PM to 10:30PM

The Menu
Grounded in Sicilian and Calabrian influences, the menu changes with the seasons and puts quality produce at the centre. Expect generous flavours, thoughtful combinations and a restrained approach that lets each ingredient speak for itself.
Choose from the à la carte menu throughout the week, or enjoy the five-course Chef’s Selection on Friday and Saturday evenings for a longer, more immersive dining experience.
